Meet Dr. Sophia Adams!

Dr. Sophia Adams is one of our healthcare providers, seeing patients for venous disorder consultations and performing non-invasive venous procedures such as endovenous laser ablations.

Dr. Adams joined VHC after completing her Family Medicine resident training, which included rotations with Dr. Asbjornsen. During residency she also she trained with the vascular surgery department at Maine Medical Center. Dr. Adams graduated from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her Family Medicine Internship at Maine Dartmouth Family Medicine Residency in Augusta, Maine. She is a member of the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians, the American Osteopathic Association, and the American Vein and Lymphatic Society.

Dr. Adams spends as much time as a patient needs to fully understand their venous disease and go through the options for moving towards venous health. In her own words: “Patients after treatment often tell me that they’re able to work, play, and spend time with their kids or grandkids without experiencing pain. I am lucky to be a part of the healing journey for so many who are burdened with venous disease.”
